Psychiatric Services Available to Adults by Video
Diagnostic Clarification
When symptoms overlap, it can be hard to know what is really going on. We take a careful look at your symptoms, past experiences, and personal history to build a clearer understanding of your situation. That clarity becomes the foundation for every treatment decision that follows.
Medication Management
If medication is part of your plan, we talk through the options openly and help you weigh what fits your needs. Ongoing visits let us track your progress and adjust the plan as your life and symptoms change. When a prescription is appropriate, it can be sent electronically to the pharmacy you choose.
Supportive Psychotherapy
Supportive psychotherapy is woven into visits when it is helpful, giving you space to talk through stress, setbacks, and progress. These conversations help connect your treatment plan to what is actually happening in your relationships, work, and routines. The goal is for you to feel heard and supported between milestones, not just reviewed.
Online Mood Disorder Treatment for Adults
Depression and other mood disorders can affect energy, motivation, sleep, and how you see yourself. We provide online treatment for adults that considers the full picture, including anxiety, burnout, grief, or trauma that may be shaping your mood. Care is adjusted over time as we learn what helps you feel more like yourself.
Sleep and Nightmare Assessment
Poor sleep and recurring nightmares often travel alongside anxiety, trauma, mood changes, and post-concussive symptoms. We assess your sleep patterns and how disrupted nights may be affecting your days. What we learn guides a plan that supports both rest and overall mental health.
Grounding and Coping Strategies
When anxiety, panic, or painful memories surge, practical tools can help you steady yourself in the moment. We work with you to find grounding and coping strategies that fit your personality and daily life. These skills are meant to give you more control and confidence outside of appointments.
Mood Tracking and Relapse-Prevention Planning
Noticing early patterns in mood can make it easier to respond before a hard stretch takes hold. We help you track changes in mood, sleep, and energy and build a personalized plan for warning signs. Paired with sleep and routine support, this planning helps protect the progress you have worked for.

Why Choose Our Compassionate Care?
Care From Wherever You Are
Meeting by secure video means you can connect from home or another private space, with no commute and no waiting room. For many people, staying in a familiar setting makes it easier to speak openly about what they are going through. Removing travel and scheduling hurdles also makes it simpler to stay consistent with care over time.
Decisions Made Together
You will never be handed a plan without an explanation. We walk through what we are seeing, what options exist, and why we recommend a particular direction. Your questions and preferences shape the plan from the very first visit.
The Whole Person, Not Just Symptoms
Mental health rarely shows up as one neat diagnosis. We consider co-occurring concerns such as trauma, burnout, perfectionism, substance use, identity stress, and grief when planning your care. Looking at the full picture helps treatment feel relevant to your real life.
An Affirming, Welcoming Space
We provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care that respects your identity and lived experience. Our aim is a space where you can speak openly without worrying about judgment. Feeling safe and understood is an essential part of meaningful progress.

FAQ About Psychiatrist in Portland, OR
Do I need to travel to an office for appointments?
No. Brain Bath provides care entirely by telehealth. You simply need to be physically located in Oregon or another state we serve at the time of each appointment.
Can you take over my current medication treatment?
Yes, we can help when you are transferring care. We review your treatment history and may request records from previous providers, and an initial assessment is typically needed before prescribing or refilling medication.
Will I definitely receive a prescription after my visit?
Not necessarily. Medication is recommended only when it fits your evaluation and goals, and some medications have additional prescribing requirements. If medication is not the right fit, we will discuss other ways to support you, such as psychotherapy or grounding and coping strategies.
What should I do in a mental health emergency?
Our telehealth practice is not an emergency service. If you are in danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department, and for crisis support in the U.S. you can call or text 988 at any time.
